What skills should I be teaching my post players to play in the dribble drive offense? How do I get my post players involved in the dribble drive? Finally, some answers!

Join University of Kentucky head coach, John Calipari, as he leads you through an extensive workout you can use with your posts to develop the skills necessary to play the Dribble Drive Motion Offense.

Coach Calipari starts off by leading his posts through ball handling drills. These drills will develop the weak hand, give a feel for the ball and give your players the confidence they need to dribble the ball with their head up.

Next, Calipari unveils 10 drills that allow you to practice the elements of spacing, soft hands and the "feel" bigs need to score near the basket.

The pick and roll gives the bigs a variety of options to score once they set a screen. Calipari concentrates on teaching proper spacing, which will give your bigs a number of options to the rim or finding a spot to score. He also shows techniques for getting open once the post defender starts cheating up to help defend the drive.

To finish the practice, Calipari leads the posts through a perimeter shooting drill and a rim-running drill that teaches post players how to establish position inside when running the floor.

Make sure your Dribble Drive Motion Offense is hitting on all cylinders with this great offering from John Calipari.
